UNSAVED FAMILY AND FRIENDS
God I pray for my unsaved family and friends and that you give them a:
Ezekiel 36:26 (new heart)
Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Matthew 18:4 (humble heart)
Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Psalm 51:10 (clean heart)
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me.
Matthew 5:8 (pure heart)
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Romans 10:10 (believing heart)
For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.
I Pray this with confidence, because I know You love me and delight when I come before You. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
ADULT CHILDREN
Ask God to make Himself known in ways that are undeniable. Request both large and small miracles, and pray for their eyes to be opened to His work and assistance in their lives.
Pray for supernatural peace amidst the stress and fear prevalent in our world. In a time of constant anxiety, ask God to grant them a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Request precise blessings. If the child is struggling with financial issues, seeks career advancement/direction, or struggles with addiction or toxic relationships, ask God to intervene specifically in these areas.
Pray Scripture. The Word of God is potent and effective. When you pray Scripture over them, you can be confident that God listens.
Ask God to draw them to Himself. Pray they become so unsettled by life without Him that they will seek His presence and return to Him.
BELIEVERS
Prayer prompts guided by 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 which says, "Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."
PRAY FOR GOD'S WORK IN THEIR LIVES
Ask God to help our fellow believers walk worthy of their calling in Christ. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work powerfully in their lives, empowering them to fulfill their divine purpose.
PRAY FOR GOD'S GLORY
Pray that God’s name may be glorified through the lives of the believers and that they may reflect His glory in all they do.
PRAY FOR FAITH AND POWER
Pray for the faith and power needed to accomplish good works. Ask God to strengthen believers as they undertake various tasks and missions.
PRAY FOR COMPLETION OF WORKS
Ask God to complete the good works that have been started in faith. Pray that His purposes are fulfilled and His church is a beacon of grace to a dark world.
SIGNS OF SPIRITUAL FAILURE
In today’s world, it’s easy to slip into habits that seem harmless or “normal” but actually weaken our walk with God. Many believers fall into these traps without realizing it, setting themselves up for spiritual failure.
Each of these can slowly pull you away from God’s purpose, leaving you spiritually empty and off course.
Compromising on Your Faith for Convenience
Skipping prayer, Bible study, or worship because you’re “too busy.” Prioritizing comfort over commitment to God will weaken your spiritual foundation over time.
Relying on Your Own Strength
Thinking you can handle life’s challenges without turning to God. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
Neglecting Accountability
Isolating yourself from other believers or refusing wise counsel. This can lead to pride, temptation, and eventually spiritual downfall. “Iron sharpens iron” (Proverbs 27:17).
Embracing Worldly Values
Following cultural trends or moral relativism over biblical truth. Romans 12:2 reminds us not to conform to the patterns of this world but to renew our minds.
Ignoring the Holy Spirit’s Conviction
Silencing that still, small voice when you know you’re off track. Ignoring the Holy Spirit’s guidance is a slow drift away from God’s purpose for your life.
It’s time to recognize these signs, re-center on God, and build a strong foundation in Him. Commit to prioritizing your relationship with God, lean on His strength, surround yourself with wise counsel, stand firm in biblical truth, and listen to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Guard your heart and strengthen your faith!
